In a brief moment of hesitation, he chose left. Arieus just looked at him, like he couldn't believe Antanas was making that kind of decision. And he couldn't believe it.
"Antanas?"
The half-elf turned around, distracted by the branches in his face. He peered over at Arieus. "What's up?"
"Are you," he paused, "are you sure this is the right way?" Antanas frowned, and then watched Arieus' eyes look somewhat forlornly to the right. He cracked a slow smile; he stepped back toward Arieus.
"You need to get your head out of those books," he teased. "Left doesn't always mean death, you know."
