So Red-Headed He's A Communist

A tribute, haha, to a certain favorite character of mine who is fighting an epic battle which will determine the course of the rest of the story. D:

Act 2
I can still remember the crunch of leaves,
the bounce back as I lean back, arms out,
free-fallen into the midnight grass.

Your voice is a constant buzzing,
half the time I paw irritably at my ears.

But when you've been gone so long,
even I can't name the summer-fall sky blue
of your eyes, I make the effort to decipher the buzzing.

And yet, I realize,
I never listened to begin with,
so how could I ever know what you meant?

Oh my God, this is crap. I am /so/ sorry. Ugh.
